So, I may not be the best mom in the world in some people's opinion, but I did make a wonderful discovery today. Ella frequently throws tantrums when she's overstimulated or over-tired, just completely loses control of herself and can't regain it....so, today, when she did just that....I started "farting" with my lips. Her screams instantly turned into hysterical giggling. I "farted" for a good half hour because her laughing was so nice to hear...and as I was leaving her room, she said, "Mom?
I said, "What do you need?"
She said, "Can you please fart some more?"
How could I resist?

Ella's homework
Each week, Ella gets to search the house for things that begin with the "letter of the week" (her preschool assignment). This week, her letter is 'F.' So, scenario set, here goes:
Ella: "Mom, let's play a game."
Mom: "Okay, let's find 'F' words!"
Ella: "No...let's play house. You be the child, and I'll be the mom."
Mom: "Okay. Mom, can we find 'F' words?"
Ella: "Sure!"
Ella: "Mom, let's play a game."
Mom: "Okay, let's find 'F' words!"
Ella: "No...let's play house. You be the child, and I'll be the mom."
Mom: "Okay. Mom, can we find 'F' words?"
Ella: "Sure!"

Ella loves preschool
Ella had a good morning at preschool, but she was very "down" and grumpy when I picked her up. My first thought was, what bad thing happened while I was away??!!! (The mother's protective instinct kicked in) So, I maintained my composure and asked in a calm voice, "What's wrong?" She said, "Preschool's supposed to be longer!!!"
